01 / 09

Capital at risk

Financial markets are uncertain. You can lose some or all of the money you commit to a trade. Never assume a strategy will generate positive returns. Do not trade with money needed for rent, bills, debt repayments or other essential commitments.

02 / 09

Leverage and margin

Contracts for difference (CFDs), leveraged foreign-exchange products and leveraged spread bets magnify movements in the underlying market. Even small price changes can create rapid losses, margin calls or forced closure. The protections and maximum possible loss depend on the instrument, account classification, provider and jurisdiction; do not assume every account has the same protections. Before trading, read your provider’s product disclosure, margin rules and applicable risk warning.

03 / 09

Market conditions

Major economic releases, central-bank announcements, geopolitical events and changes in market liquidity can cause sharp price moves or gaps. Forex pairs, gold and other markets do not always respond to news in an obvious or predictable way. Spreads may widen considerably when markets become volatile or illiquid.

04 / 09

Stops and execution

A stop-loss or other order is not a guarantee that a position will close at the exact price requested. Slippage, gaps, platform outages, market closures and insufficient liquidity can produce a different execution price or prevent immediate execution. Orders may be rejected or delayed in some conditions.

05 / 09

Costs and currency

Spreads, commissions, financing or overnight charges, currency conversion, taxes and other provider fees can reduce returns or increase losses. Costs and trading conditions vary by provider. Review these costs before entering a position.

06 / 09

Counterparty and platform risk

A broker, prop-trading programme or technology provider may experience operational failure, change its rules, restrict withdrawals, terminate accounts or become insolvent. Check contractual rights, regulatory status, complaint routes and protections with the specific provider. A paid challenge or simulated account is not necessarily the same as holding a live investment account.

07 / 09

Examples and performance

Charts, trade scenarios, risk-to-reward ratios, hypothetical results, back-tests, demonstrations, testimonials and past performance do not predict future results. Examples may omit slippage, costs, taxes, changing market conditions or execution constraints. There is no guaranteed income, profit, payout or success rate from TCH education.

08 / 09

Personal circumstances

Consider your financial position, experience, knowledge and capacity to lose money before deciding whether to trade. If you need advice on whether an investment is suitable for you, consult an appropriately authorised independent professional. No website article or group discussion replaces a personalised suitability assessment.
